I have made 4 resources for businesses, from sole proprietorship incorporated businesses. The right form or plan can make a business flourish and operate better while giving the people in the business unified direction. I am a business creative and after 40 years working in and for businesses of many sizes, I have not reused or repurposed any of my forms or plans, as all of them had been uniquely designed to fit the purpose and the business. I am now sharing these in the spirit of sustainability, reuse, repurpose and reduce.
Cleaning Business Form
This form sets up the cash cycle and how clients can pay while keeping costs down. It adds fraud and collection protection by requiring a DL, driver's license. It introduces "GIFT my SERVICE" as a way for Payees to GIFT the SERVICE to Clients/End User. This form allows for flexibility in quoting and it doubles as a Client Service Agreement. It also collects important details that affect higher quotes like number of bathrooms and square feet. And there is a privacy clause at the bottom of the form to assure Clients their home is kept safe.
Specialty Bakery Business Plan
This document can be used to see what is needed in a Business Plan in order to attract outside funds from banks, venture capitalist or equity lenders. This plan received 50% above what it was asking. The financials have been kept simple and the secondary research was not included here as it was over 300 pages. The results of the research are shown in the plan and were used to gain the competitive advantage this bakery used to compete in their local market.
Micro Business Case Study
A post secondary school student is going to use a micro business to earn $10k in 4 months for school instead of relying on a full-time summer job. He is looking for a low capital buy in. The student, Angus, is a bartendar and mixologist and wants to have a beverage stand. He is a student at Brock University taking Business. The first video discusses the importance of following ones passions, it explores the difficult parts of this type of decision, outlines the target market, discusses what to sell to meet financial targets, outlines the location and what help he needs and where me might get that help. The second video goes over the Business Name and Tag Line and 3 beverage suggestions. The third video talks about how the accounting can be done to submit for the year end tax return, HST considerations, insurance and mileage. UN-FAO 17SDGs
Sustainability is a fairly new topic in Business; consequently, I took an online course through Oxford University and their geography department, Pearson, at the end of 2024. Sustainability includes more than just the environment. It includes social and governance as well, in other words, it includes the Earth and its People. The document to the left is the UN-FAO 17SDGs that was compiled from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization's website. It is used as a base for Sustainability in Business along with the Net Zero Climate Change which refers to carbon dioxide emissions.
